With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Durrwachter Sr. of Montoursville, Pennsylvania, born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 29, 2020 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Betty J. Durrwachter (Bateman); his parents, Albert Durrwachter and Ida Durrwachter (Crouse); and his sisters, Ann Louise Bassler, Viola Stryker and Marlene Mayer.
He is survived by: his children, Melvin C. Jr. Durrwachter (Marion) of Matamoras and Sharon Barbour (David) of Montoursville; his grandchildren, Michael Durrwachter (Merrilee), Melissa Stilo (Joseph), Allyson Tymeson (Chris) and Justin Shaffer (Betty); his great grandchildren, Katrina, Kyle Durrwachter, Alexandra, Samantha, Briana, Vanessa Stilo, Drewan, Janae Tymeson, Isaac, Audrey and Chloe Shaffer; and his sisters, Carol Mae Eck and Sherry Wawrzynski (Paul).
