With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean M. Rissel of Montoursville, Pennsylvania, born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 8, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband John M. Heltman; her husband Otis Rissel; her parents, John Stroble and Sarah Stroble (Winter); and her siblings, Paul, John, Leo, Buck and Betty Shaffer.
She is survived by: her children, David J. Heltman (Kathy) of Cogan Station and Susan H. Lepley (Steven) of Williamsport; her stepchildren, David Rissel (Gloria) of Williamsport, Ronald Rissel (Hanh), Diana Rissel and Nonnie Persun of Montgomery; her grandchildren, Kelly Stevens (Don), Nathan Lepley (Jess), Joel Lepley (Ashley) of Williamsport, Brian Heltman (Korine) of Williamsport, Brenda Flores, Ericka Gravis, Michael Pearson of Williamsport, Lori Whitaker, Amanda Rall, Tim Rissel (Tiffany) of South Williamsport, Deborah Steckler (Patrick) of Chambersburg, Rachel and James Rissel; and her great grandchildren, Brianna, Jonathan, Zachary, Emma, Gracyn, Cainan, Joslin, Willow, Laney, Amanda, Bash, Tess, Nick, Aubrey and Ryan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
