He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Raymond Sylvester and Joan Sylvester; his wife Lizbeth Carson Sylvester; his siblings, Gary, Deborah, Kim and Karen; his children, Nicholas, Anthony, Maria, Benjamin and Briana; his grandson Nino; and his pet Leo.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barry may be made in support of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Research and Education Fund at Jefferson Health.
