He is survived by: his wife Andora Simms; his children, Crystal Tann Roberts, Eric Simms, Deborah Simms and William L Simms, Jr.; and his stepson James W. Thomas. He is also survived by many many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
