He is survived by: his wife Donna M. Smith (Eberhardt); his children, Kathleen S. Loughery (Rob) of Bedminster, Burton D Smith Jr. of Woodridge, IL and Amy S. Feliciani (Mike) of Telford; his stepson Neil D. Eberhardt (Barbara) of Northampton; his siblings, Peter Smith of Sanatoga, John K. Smith (Dana) of Pottstown, Kenneth Smith of Reading and Regina Whitley (Charles) of Conshohocken; his grandchildren, Taylor, Vivian, Grace, Evelyn, Amelia, Isabelle and Jack; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Luke, Kelly, Baker and Aurora.

“WOW, what a shocker. We had planned for years to meet up somewhere and talk about our old times hunting and a few police officer happenings. Burt hunted for years out of my cabin in Lycoming County, PA. Rooting through my old hunting files, I found a receipt from when Burt sold a Blackhawk gun to a person in 1973.
