She was predeceased by: her parents, Dhurjati Annapurna and Dhurjati Narayana Rao. She is survived by: her spouse Akkaraju V. N. Sarma; her children, Bani (Prabodh), Manju (Srirama) and Lalitha; her grandchildren, Simran, Kashviya, Koti and Ankita; and her siblings, Suseela Valluri, Ramachandrarao Dhurjati, Prakash Dhurjati and Ramakrishna Dhurjati.
