He is survived by: his wife H. Elizabeth Stymiest (Shockey); his children, Nancy Joy Weller (Bradley) of Chambersburg, Dirk T. Stymiest of Waynesboro, Patti D. Stitely (Gary) of Fayetteville, PA and Mary A. Kerr (Ward) of LaGrange, KY; his grandchildren, Nathan Stymiest (Cheryl), Shane Stymiest (Bobbi Jo Rector) and Miley Klein (Michael); his great grandchildren, Lucas Stymiest, Talia Klein and Presley Jo Stymiest; and his sister Amelita Koller of Fredericksburg, VA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
