He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard O. Bakner and Hilda Mae Bakner (Jones); and his nephew Richard L. Bakner. He is survived by: his children, Brent Bakner (Anne) of Hellam, PA and Jenna Matthews (Casey) of Waynesboro; his grandchildren, William, Kira, Lily Bakner, Jackson and Lincoln Matthews; and his brothers, Jerry L. Bakner (Ellen) of Mont Alto and Darral E. Bakner (Judy) of Mont Alto. He is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as a host of extended family and friends.
