He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael A. Yates and Pauline Yates (Sestak). He is survived by: his wife Linda; his daughter Natalie McBride; his sisters, Carole Smeltz (Lloyd), Adrian Wukich (Don), Janet Laney (Shannon) and Donna Ryder (Gary); and his grandchildren, Patrick and Sadie McBride.
