He was predeceased by: his father Donald Edgar; and his brother Jesse Thorn. He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Thorn; his daughters, Emily Bomba (Christopher) and Laura Thorn (Nicholas); his grandchildren, Christopher and Francesca; and his sister Wynne Weber.
