She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl O. Benson and Mary Ellen Benson (Powers). She is survived by: her siblings, Carl Joseph Benson and Christine E. Imgrund (Benson); and her nieces and nephews, Alane Goldberg (Benson), Jessica Smith (Benson), James C. Imgrund and Steven C. Imgrund. She is also survived by her family, friends.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the McKeesport Carnegie Library to honor Mary Ellen's love of both books and libraries.
