He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Riems (Szazynski); and his siblings-in-law, Timothy Szazynski (Carol) and Alithea Klavon (late Bernard). He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Riems and Leslie Riems; his grandchildren, Jerry (Kristen) and Alex; his great grandchildren, Lennox and Taytum; and his sisters, Lorraine Gonsowski (Vincent) and Georgeann Mayfield. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
