He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Esther Walchli (Klenck); his parents, Hans Walchli and Zada Walchli (Brands); and his brothers, Richard Walchli, Randall Walchli (late Lucille) and Raymond Walchli.

He is survived by: his sons, Gary Edward Walchli and James David Walchli (Marina); and his grandchildren, Sara Bonnue Walchli, Shirin Parineh and Mariam Parineh. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
