She was predeceased by: her significant other Percy Spell; her parents, Kemper Alden and Stella Rodes (Duncan); her brother Alden Rodes; and her grandson Jamal Aki Holyfield.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Calhoun, Deborah Spriggs (Manell) and Anthony Spell; and her sister Geraldine Toms (Orville) of Waynesboro. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews as well as family and friends.
