He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bakaitus and Mary Elizabeth Bakaitus (Harrison); his wife Mary Elizabeth Bakaitus (Young); and his sisters, Betty Smereczniak and Patricia Bakaitus.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas L. Bakaitus, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Pittsburgh, David W. Bakaitus (Brenda), Daniel J. Bakaitus (Marcy) of Rostraver Twp and Rosemary A. Trunzo (Thomas) of Monongahela; his grandchildren, Toni Toscano (Daniel), Ashley, Sarah Bakaitus, Joshua Bakaitus (Ashley), Noah, Sierra and Paige Trunzo; his great grandchild Donovan Toscano; and his sister-in-law Connie Uhutch of Charleroi.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that contributions be made to St, Mary's Anglican church in Charleroi.
