Tanya Lazzari Obituary
Tanya (Hutchko) Lazzari, 80, of Monongahela, died Monday, March 13, 2023 after a brief illness. She was born in North Charleroi on December 18, 1942 to John and Leona Gulick Hutchko.
Her greatest wish is to be remembered for her devotion to her husband of fifty four years, Wayne, her three children, and as "Grammy" to her seven grandchildren. Grammy was always there with a treat after a Kennywood ride, a little something in the pocket to help her kids and was first to buy anything her grandchildren were selling. Her greatest joy was to see her children and grandchildren together and having fun with each other. She always wanted to know how we were all doing, to see photos of all we did and to help care for and raise her grandchildren - which she certainly did. She was a devoted, lifelong member of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church and its Ladies' Guild and choir. For many years, Tanya and her husband faithfully helped clean the church and prepare it for services.
She married Wayne Lazzari on September 15, 1968. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children Melissa (Stephen) McDonald of Morgantown, WV, Mark (Lauren) Lazzari of Johnstown, and Melanie (Jason) Hudson of McMurray; seven grandchildren, Madison, Mason, Molli, Maggi, Miller, McKenna, and Maddox; and her dear sister, Carolyn (Hutchko) Herman of Raymore, Missouri.
Tanya graduated from Charleroi Area High School in 1960. After graduation, Tanya went to Douglass Business School and worked at Lee Norse Company in Charleroi for several years. She then decided to become a devoted mother to her three children until returning to work as an office manager for Dr. Urrea Psychiatry Care Systems where she retired. As Tanya reaches her eternal home, she will be remembered by those of us left behind for her comforting smile, and enjoyment of watching the Price is Right (the Bob Barker era), collecting Pioneer Woman and watching Create TV. She served her life as a divine example of a wife, mother and grandmother. She will always be our best buddy.
