It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Norma L. Simmen in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 4, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Spence Sr. and Bertha Isaac Spence; her husband Oscar N. Simmen, Jr.; her siblings, Albert Spence, Jr. (Rose), Eliza J. Towner (Elmer) and Margaret Van Kirk Lape (Albert); and her son-in-law William Tonti.
She is survived by: her brother Paul Spence (Fay) of Hudson, FL; her children, Arlene Hammerstrom (Wayne) of Belle Vernon, Oscar Simmen, III (Donna) of Monongahela, Joyce O'Dell (Dennis) of Monongahela and Noreen Tonti of New Eagle; and her grandchildren, Joseph Snodrass, Jr. (Amy), Jill Mascara (Jon), David Simmen (Jamie), Daniel Simmen, Michael O'Dell (Amanda), Sean O'Dell (Deidre), Carrie Codelka (Andrew) and Kevin Hammerstrom (Jen). She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; many special nieces, nephews and friends.
Due to Covid-19, Norma's wishes are for a private viewing at Frye Funeral Home in Monongahela on Friday, November 6, 2020 from 4-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Monongahela Library or True Vine Anglican Church.
