She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel DeSimone and Mary Irvine DeSimone. She is survived by: her husband Donald Gillespie; her daughters, Constance Grubesky of Pittsburgh and Ann; her son-in-law David Doty, Jr. of Monongahela; her son Michael Grubesky; her stepmother Jane DeSimone of Houston, TX; her sister Elizabeth; her brother-in-law John Guy of West Newton; and her brothers, Thomas (Stephanie DeSimone), Ronald (Robin DeSimone) and Donald (Mary DeSimone). She is also survived by six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
