He was predeceased by: his parents, William George and Vida Mildred Messner Patterson; his grandmother Alice Patterson; and his siblings, Joanne McCorkle, Dwayne Patterson and Dene Patterson.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Romeo Patterson; his daughters, Gina Patterson-Midgley (Eric Midgley) of Jackson, Carla Stark (Keith) of Cranberry Township, Darla Fortwangler of Pittsburgh and Anita Mohney (Brian Orlovsky) of Kennedy Township; his grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher Mohney, Lewie, Amanda Fortwangler, Aleksander and Nicholas Stark; his siblings, Dana Schwaed (Don) of Elizabeth and Gary Patterson (Carol) of West Newton; and his siblings-in-law, Bob McCorkle of Arizona, Dorothy Patterson of Florida and Sandy Patterson of Florida. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
