It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bishop Edward Burdett Sr. of Monongahela, Pennsylvania, born in Ford Cliff, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 23, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Earl and Annie Marie Spencer Burdett; his wife Carrol Kay Gibson Burdett; and his siblings, Stanley Eugene, Marlin Dale, Robert Burdett and Barbara Ruth Blaniar.
He is survived by: his children, John A. Burdett of Monongahela, Edward W. Burdett, Jr. of Monongahela and Lisa (Walter S. Smith, Jr.) of Dawson; his grandchildren, Walter "BJ" S. Smith, III and Holly Huffine (Tony); his great grandchildren, Braydon, Preston and Adalyn Grace; and his brothers, Wendell Burdett of Ford City, Ronald Burdett (Margie) of East Liverpool, OH and Jim Burdett (Mae) of Phoenix, Arizona. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
