We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2024, at the age of 96, Austin J. Murphy Jr. (Monongahela, Pennsylvania), born in North Charleroi, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin J. Murphy, Sr. and Evelyn Murphy (Spence); his daughter Sheila Luchansky; his grandsons, Joseph Luchansky, Sean Richard Arnowitz and Sean Emerick Kalie; his sons-in-law, Frank Sinko and Michael Luchansky; and his siblings, Mary Margaret Summerville, Robert E. Murphy and Dennis J. Murphy.
He is survived by: his children, Colleen Arnowitz (Steven) of Eighty Four, R. Brian Murphy (Cynthia) of Charleroi, Erin Sinko of Monongahela, Maureen Dineen (Robert) of Cobb Island, Holly Hayden (William) of Markleysburg and Patrick Murphy of Vienna, Virginia; his grandchildren, Domenick (Jazmine Luchansky), Elizabeth Luchansky, Kelly (Frank Amati), Michael Ankrom (Tabitha Hollenader), Caitlin (Jeremy Yeager), Erin Dinneen, Nathan Hayden, Mary Katherine Dinneen, Nicholas Murphy, Meghan (Matthew Solomon), Bridget (Greg Leyda), Leah (Mike Anderson), Robert (Christy Dinneen), Brian (Shelby Hayden), Samantha (Dave Alvord) and Maxine Murphy; his great grandchildren, Evan Anderson, Tyler Anderson, Enzo Amati, Jackson Ankrom, Nora Amati, Luke Leyda, Brooke Yeager, Grace Hayden, Leland Alvord, Ella Alvord, Ella Solomon, Ryan Leyda, Alex Solomon, Sheila J. Luchansky, Macie Yeager and Klaus Hayden; his sister Shirley Cooper of Plymouth Meeting; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Murphy of Williamsport and Patricia Murphy of Hidden Valley. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
