She was predeceased by: her parents, George Carter and Carrie Carter; her husband Leroy R. Taylor, Sr.; and her siblings, Jessie Carter, George and Thelma Wright.
She is survived by: her sisters, Audrey Sloan and Harriett Merritt; and her children, Leroy (Roxanne), Jerome, Mark, Anthony Taylor, Ardelia Merriweather, Jeanette Walker, Stephanie Thurston, Benita Sloan and Sharon Lawson (Marvin). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
