Virginia Kopena Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Kopena of Monessen, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 29, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Stimaker and Mary Ellen Reese Stimaker; her husband Peter A. Kopena; her brothers, George "Sonny" Stimaker and Thomas Stimaker; her sister-in-law Patricia Stimaker; and her nephews, George L. Stimaker Jr. and Shawn Farquhar.
She is survived by: her daughter Sheila Kopena of Monessen; her pet Suzy Q; her sister Mary D. Farquhar of Belle Vernon; her sister-in-law Sandra Mosser (John); her nephew Dwight of Donora; her nieces, Sophia Stimaker of West Newton and Cori Bayman (John); and her close friend Judith Chiedor (Dennis).
To be socially responsible during this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, we will continue to limit the attendance to 50 people inside the funeral home at any given time. Guests are asked to obey social distancing guidelines and personal protection guidelines which include masks within the funeral home.
