Margaret Mayernik Obituary
Margaret "Margi" Mayernik, 67, of Monessen, died Thursday Jan. 9, 2020 in Mercy Health, St. Elizabeth Hospital Youngstown, OH. She was born on April 18, 1952 in N. Charleroi, the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Prokopovitch) Mayernik. Margie was a 1970 graduate of Monessen High School and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church.
She worked as a coal miner at Murray Coal Mines and Mine 84 for Consol Energy. Surviving are her husband Kenneth Malster, two sons, Jonathan (Marie) Mayernik and Justin (Ashley) Mayernik, three brothers, Stevie Mayernik, John Mayernik, Ricky Mayernik; three sisters, Rosie (Jack) Fleming, Patty (Andrew) Mizerak, Mary (Carl) Clingenpeel; two grandchildren, Victoria and Mariah Mayernik, and by nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Janet Booker. Friends will be received in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services 441 Reed Ave. Monessen on Sunday from 6 to 8 pm and on Monday from 9 am to 10 am. Services will be held on Monday beginning with a 10 am Blessing in the funeral home followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church 44 Pennsylvania Blvd. Monessen.
Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
