He was predeceased by: his mother Violet Osftin; and his siblings, Don, Lee, Joseph and Faye.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Ann Petticord (Domer); and his children, Herbert C. Petticord Jr. (Michelle) of Bayou Vista, TX, Leslie Savko (Brien) of Daisytown, Lynette Petticord of Florida, Dawn Holgerson (James) of Jefferson Hills and Sherry Sabatasso (Daniel) of Missouri. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
