He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry C. Lawson Sr. and Regina Cottingham; his siblings, Gina Lawson and David Lawson; and his grandson Nicholas Bell.
He is survived by: his wife Antonia Lawson; his children, Shaun Lawson, Tonia Lawson and Zachary Lawson; his brothers, Thomas, David Craigway, Kenny Pone and James Lawson-Pone; his grandchildren, Zachari, Na'Khia, Zachary, Breeze, Zaylee, Cyria, Aleishia, Aaron, Edzarae, Chance and Savien; his aunt Nicole Cottingham-Burgess; his nephew Grant Atkins (Niema); his uncle George Robinson; his goddaughter Cari Wright; and also Eddy Bell (LarRie). He is also survived by cousins and friends.
