He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Eli Cope and Violet Cope Pearce (Cowan); his wife Mary Bernadette Fayak Cope (Fayak); his stepfather Bertram Pearce; and his grandson Ryan Paul Cope.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Cope Heino of Long Branch, Harry William Cope, Jr. of Brownsville, Richard Michael Cope (Janice) of Indiana and Timothy Patrick Cope (Annette) of Long Branch; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Klun (Kevin), Harry William Cope, III, Danielle Croushore (David), Amanda Marasti (John), Cari Eitel (Joseph), Richard Cope, Lisa Heino, Lindsey Dell (Nathan), Christina Heino, Timothy Cope Jr. (Stephanie), Stephen Cope (Brittany), Christopher Cope, Sean Cope and Meghan Clark (Josh).
