She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Lawson Swartzwelder and Anna Mae (Smith); her husband John Basalyga, Jr.; her grandmother Allie Kane; and her brothers, Harold L. Swartzwelder and William L. Watkins.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeffrey Basalyga (Barbara) of Columbia, Tennessee, James Basalyga (Donna) of Kincaid, Illinois, Jerald Basalyga of Houston, Texas and Joel Basalyga (Melissa) of Franklin, Tennessee.; her grandchildren, Philip J. Basalyga (Karissa), Antoinette M. Basalyga, Jacquelyn E. Marsh (Jacob) and Alexander J. Basalyga; and her siblings, Carol Edelen (William), Linda Cullember (Ronald), Donald Watkins (Betty) and Hazel Truitt (Michael).
