He was predeceased by: his brother Joseph. He is survived by: his wife Irene; his sons, Walter (Scott) and Michael; his foster son Thomas Medaglia; his siblings-in-law, Loretta Beaver and John Bliazes (Patricia); and his nieces and nephews, Dr. Warren Beaver (Christine), Gregory Beaver (Rebecca), Jacob Beaver (Amy), Karen McMann and Deborah Armel. He is also survived by many great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, don can be made in Steve's name, to St. John the Baptist Church.
