He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin F. Newman and Dortha W. Newman (Kum); his wife Mary Newman; his former wives, Judith Dingle Newman, Lorraine Skiba Newman and Cindy Newman; and his brother David Newman.
He is survived by: his former wife Celia; his children, Lynn C. Newman, Christy D. Liebert, Robert M. Newman, Jr. and Brandy L. Minn; his stepchildren, Marcy A. Weber, Michael F. Skiba and Amber R. Skiba; and his siblings, Frank, Stephen, Edward, Daniel Newman and Marie Bock. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
