He was predeceased by: his wife Edna Cooper Toothman; his parents, Carney L. Toothman and Nellie McGlone Toothman of Rivesville, WV; his sister Jane; his brothers-in-law, Amil Russ, Jr. and Larry Broadwater, Sr.; and his nephew Joseph Russ.
He is survived by: his sister Judy Toothman Broadwater of Baxter, WV; his nieces, Pamela Russ of Youngstown, OH and Sis Russ of Fairmont, WV; his nephew Dr. C. J. Broadwater (Hannah) of Maxwelton, WV.; his close friends, James Mason, Phil Hewitt and Jeff McKinney; and his cousins, Richard and Eleanor Toothman. He is also survived by four great nephews, three great nieces and one great-great nephew.
