He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Hiwiller Zajac; his sons, Daniel Lee Zajac, Jr. and Ryan Michael Zajac; his granddaughter Danica Leigh Zajac; his siblings, Donny Zajac (Annette), Sharon Strickler, Bill Zajac (Lissa) and Susan Clancy (John); his siblings-in-law, Joseph Shively, Tom Hiwiller (Patty) and Penny Pugh (Clark); and his nieces and nephews, Joey, Jesse, Elie, Raelene, Rachel, Shawna, Zachary, Travis, Dustin, Abby, Lee, Larry Hiwiller (Amanda), Jennifer Thomas (George), Tom Hiwiller (Katrina) and Paul Pugh (Abbey).
