He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Shumaker and Ruth Shumaker; and his brother-in-law Ray Sullivan. He is survived by: his wife Janet L. Sullivan Shumaker; his children, Marcie Crawford (Chris), Brian Shumaker (Darla Butcher), James Antinopoulos (Kelli), Kristen Apple (Brian Berchtold), Josh Antinopoulos (Patricia) and Beka Weischedel (Todd); his grandchildren, Maddie, Leah, Megan of Lindsay, A. J., Mara, Avie, James, Lucas, Robbie, Sam, Harper, Molly and Ripley; his great grandchild Rylan; his brothers, Scott Shumaker (Sheila) and James Shumaker (JoAnn); his siblings-in-law, David Sullivan (Lorie), Carol Sullivan and Angela Sullivan; and his close friends, Brandon Apple, Don, Denise Lynch, Chuck and Louise Greback. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

The family has suggested memorial contributions be made, if desired in Brian's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
