He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. O'Keefe and Margaret Ann O'Keefe (Seery); and his siblings, Neil O'Keefe and Maureen O'Keefe Meade. He is survived by: his siblings, John O'Keefe, Mark O'Keefe (Linda), Joe O'Keefe (Diana), Rosemary Guthrie (Mark) and Eileen O'Keefe Pasquale (David). He is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Because of his love of animals, the family has suggested memorial contributions be made, if desired in Barry's name to the Beaver County Humane Society.
