Clarence B. Kulp, 89, formerly of Perry Twp., passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 in Stoneridge Skilled Care, Myerstown. He was the husband of Nancy H. (Histand) Kulp. They were married on September 14, 1957 and celebrated sixty-four years of marriage. Born in Skippack, Montgomery Co., he was the son of the late Francis and Sallie (Blank) Kulp.
Clarence was a life-long dairy farmer. He took great pride in his farm. His farm was named Dairy of Distinction. Clarence was a member of Mohrsville Church of the Brethren, Centre Twp., where he was a lifetime deacon. Through the Mennonite church, he served in 1-W service for two years while residing in New Jersey. In his younger years, Clarence was known as "Dutch" because he didn't speak English until he was six years old.
He was a special and kind man with an easy-going personality. Clarence loved puzzles, gardening, and birdwatching; and enjoyed watching the Phillies, Dallas Cowboys and Penn State. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Randall L. Kulp, husband of Wanda, Richland; Lynette J. (Kulp), wife of Philip Yoder, Hamburg; and Cynthia D. (Kulp) Svenson, companion of Craig Koons, Auburn; ten grandchildren: Bradley Kulp, Jamie (Kulp) Heisey, Tyler Kulp, Avery (Yoder) Rezykowski, Jacob Yoder, Marissa Svenson, Marlena Svenson, Megan (Bender) Bezawada, Nicole (Bender) Duckworth, and Shannon (Bender) Carter; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Clarence was predeceased by one brother: Francis Kulp; and two sisters: Katie Landis and Sallie Landis. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 2:00 pm from Mohrsville Church of the Brethren, 1542 Shoey Road, Mohrsville, PA 19541. A visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the church at the above address.
