It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Steven R. Kurtz of Mohnton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 9, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Kurtz (Guigley) and Isaac Kurtz; his wife Deborah L. Kurtz (Mull); and his siblings, Susan Anne Kurtz, Kenneth L. Kurtz and Russell E. Kurtz.

He is survived by: his granddaughter Reina M. Rivera; and his siblings, Robert G. Kurtz of Essort, PA, Mary E. Burroughs (Wayne) of Little River, SC and Timothy L. Kurtz (Kathryn M.) of Mohnton, PA.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bean Funeral Homes (129 E Lancaster Ave, Shillington, PA 19607). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

“Mary, Timmy, and Bobby, and families… Me and John are so, so sad. Learning it was Steve’s home, realizing Steve and his daughter Carolyn did not survive, how absolutely devastating it is. I pray for Steve’s granddaughter, Carolyn’s daughter. Losing your Pop and Mommy is devastating, praying for her future. Please know all of you are in our thoughts, constantly. We are so sorry.
