He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond A. Boyer and Rachael E. Slichter Boyer (Marks); and his sister Marilyn Vernon (Slichter). He is survived by: his spouse Ferne A. Slichter (Messner); and his grandchildren, Derrick Thomason, Daniel J. Kiefer, IV, Rachel A. (David Grean) and Brock E. Sheets.
