It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin R. Slichter (Mohnton, Pennsylvania), who passed away on June 1, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara A. (Werner); his siblings, Delvin J., Noel Slichter and Corinne Wertz; and his parents, Melvin H. and CylomaSlichter.
He is survived by: his sons, Thomas S. Slichter (Margo K.) and Douglas R. Slichter (Joanne M. The); his grandchildren, Michael T. Slichter (Pam Hummert-Slichter), Amy L. Rounceville (JoshRounceville) and Andrew D. Slichter; and also, Kayla L. and Madeline R. Rounceville.
His meticulous work and ability to solve problems were highly regarded, and his contributions to the structures he helped create have stood as lasting monuments to his talent.
