She was predeceased by: her parents, H. S. Witwer and Mabel I. Witwer (McGowan); her husband Jack W. Muhlenberg; and her brother Harvey Witwer. She is survived by: her daughter Lori A. Muhlenberg of Birdsboro; and her sister Rosa Belle Bender of Glenmoore. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
