He is survived by: his wife Anne M. Hughes; his children, Lisa M. Ferguson (Stephen) and Russell D. Frantz (Tracy); his grandchildren, Richard Ferguson, Michael Ferguson and Alexandra Evans (Charles); and his brother Herbert Frantz.
At the family's request, memorial donations in Russell's memory may be forwarded to Trinity Episcopal Church, Pottsville.
