Jean K. Quandel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean K. Quandel of Minersville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 8, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Jack and Katie Jack (Rowlands); her siblings, Alice Williams (Jack), Harry Jack, Mary Eichenberg (Jack), Kathryn Frank (Jack), William Jack, Vivian Gilliford (Jack) and Helen Berg (Jack); and her great grandchildren, Gunner, Grace and Evelyn Quandel.
She is survived by: her family, Quandel Concrete and James W. Quandel; her children, James W. Quandel Jr. of Minersville, Charles H. Quandel (Susan) and Bonnie Rowlands (David Ronald Rowlands) of Minersville; her granddaughter Elizabeth Davis (Scott Davis); her great grandchildren, Maddie and Drew Davis of Alpine, NJ; her grandson Charles H. Quandel, Jr. (April); her great grandchildren, Gema Jean Quandel (Schuylkill Haven) and Caleb Monk (Tamaqua); her grandson Gregory Quandel (Jessica); her great grandchildren, Gabrielle Umholtz (Dan), Kieffer Quandel (Lusby, MD), Bailey Wertz (Alyssa), Brady Wertz of Saint Charles, IL and Laura Quandel of Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Jennifer Quandel (Minersville) and Jeffrey Quandel (Sherri); her great grandchild Alexis Padelsky of Christiansburg, VA; her granddaughter Jill Atkinson (William); her great grandchildren, Dylan Ellinger, Adrienne Kroznuskie (Harrisburg), Bryce Ellinger (Minersville), Ty Atkinson (Minersville) and Kylie Atkinson (Schuylkill Haven); her grandchildren, Kelsey Atkinson of Winterhaven, FL and Katie Carr (Matthew); her children, Dante, Karlie Jean Carr (Minersville) and Christopher Rowlands (Jacqlyn); and her grandchildren, Rylan Rowlands, Keera Brennan and Rilynn Brennan (Minersville).
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the James and Jean Quandel Memorial Softball Fund ("JJQMSF") to benefit Minersville Area High School Softball program c/o Link Bank 260 Sunbury St., Minersville, PA 17954.
