He was predeceased by: his parent Helen Irene Ashbaugh; and his sister Charlotte Bell. He is survived by: his sons, Richard Eugene Ashbaugh, Jr. (Holly) and Matthew Charles Ashbaugh (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Morgan Ashbaugh of Blairsville, Chloe Ashbaugh of Blairsville and Owen Ashbaugh of Blairsville; and his brothers, Donald Ashbaugh (Bonnie Ashbaugh), Sandy Booker and James Ashbaugh (Tammy Adamson).
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. (4606 Old US 119 Hwy S, Homer City, PA 15748). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Luther Chapel Cemetery (1204 Hinkston Run Rd, Mineral Point, PA 15942 Hinckston Run Rd, Mineral Point, PA).
