He was predeceased by: his parents, Ned Sterner and Mildred Sterner (Ochenbauch); and his son James W. Sterner. He is survived by: his wife Georgia A. Brown; his children, Billy Sterner of Sunbury and Brenda Sterner of Montgomery; his grandchildren, Whitney Persun, Courtney Persun, Cyra E. Sterner and Landen Sterner; and his sisters, Mary Robbins, Sandy Richardson and June Lensie. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
