He was predeceased by: his parents, William W. Packer and Shirley A. Packer (Miller); his siblings, Kevin Packer and Hollie Packer; and his nephew Kevin Packer Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Tammy Squier; his daughter Ashley N. Derr (Corey) of Picture Rocks; his grandchildren, Emma Derr, Leah Derr, Madi Derr and Roman Derr; and his siblings, Franklin Packer of New Columbia, Kelly Packer of Milton and Edna Packer of Milton.
