He was predeceased by: his parents, George Simpson and Mary Simpson (Bartholomew); his siblings, George, William Simpson, Mary Poff, Charlotte Riland, Stella Mae Wagner and Rose Richard; and his half-brother John Cope.

He is survived by: his son Samuel L.; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Simpson of Middleburg; his daughter Brooke; his son-in-law Shane Scrivner of Belgrade, MT; and his sister-in-law Audra of Northumberland. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lafayette Masonic Lodge #194, P.O. Box 2, Selinsgrove, PA 17870.
