He was predeceased by: his parent George F.; and his siblings, George F. Hause Jr. and Carrie Hause Nixon. He is survived by: his parent Doris Hause (Stetler); his friend Marlin Smith; his children, Richard E. Hause Jr (Lauren) of Scurry, TX, Shane M. Hause (Laurie) of Danville, Jason F. Hause (Alexis) of New Oxford and Stacy L. Keiser of Milton; his grandchildren, Brett Hause, Kaleb Hause, Kelly Hause, Ryan Hause, Aidan Keiser, Elliot Hause, Theodore Hause and Emeline Hause; his sisters, Donna Rothermel (Ronald) of Sunbury and Virginia Buck (Larue) of New Columbia; and also, Nora and Kenneth Neuhard of Milton.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Richard's name may be made to the Danville SPCA 1467 Bloom Rd. Danville, PA 17821.
