He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Swartz, and Hazel Swartz, Sr. (Pursel); his wife Helen Swartz; and his siblings, Howard, Jr., William, Frank, Carl, Art Swartz, Grace Kauwell and Margaret Everett.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janice M. Schlegel (Montana L.) of Milmont, Louise J. Styers (Warren) of Mifflinburg and Dawn E. Randler (Ronald W.) of Danville; his grandchildren, Jennifer Fenstermacher, Kyle Miller, Brooke Styers and Torie Libby; and his siblings, Ralph Swartz (Margaret) of Danville, Dorothy Kline (Anthony) of Northumberland, Mary Fisher (Robert) of Lewisburg and Evelyn Kearns (Thomas) of Danville. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
