He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph O. Welliver and Nellie Welliver (Peifer); and his siblings, Joseph, Donald Welliver, Margaret Dunkle, Mildred Schrawder, Nancy Heller, Grace Rager, Catherine Lower and Elda Pardoe.

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor B. Wichurowski; and his children, Daniel R. Welliver (Elizabeth Charbonneau) of Coal Twp, David A. Welliver (Janet) of New Columbia, Jason E. Welliver (Tara) of Northumberland and Carol L. Snyder (Randy) of Milton. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and two sisters.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his memory be made to either the Salvation Army or the American Cancer Society.
