He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Edinger and Miriam Edinger (Baker); and his siblings, Maurice "Bud" Edinger, Clark Edinger, Beatrice Neitz, Elizabeth Aikey and Geraldine Byers.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Beaver; his son John T. Edinger, II (Wendie) of Muncy; his siblings-in-law, Thomas Byers of Mooresburg and Jean Edinger of West Milton; his stepgrandchildren, Kurtis McGinniss, Keishia Roberts and Brea Malloy; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Roberts, Lillii, J. J. Neault, Arya McGinniss, Elijah and Noah Malloy.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to St Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the animal rescue of the donor's choice.
