He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Sr. Heckman and Katherine Heckman (Nitterhouse); his wife Pauline E. Lohr; and his siblings, John Heckman, Jr., Harold Heckman, Clarence Heckman, Jean Baker and Jessie Mae Prowant.
He is survived by: his children, Gloria Correy (Robert Jr.) of Milton, Keith D. Heckman (Georgia) of Locust, Jeffery Heckman (Brenda) of Milton and John Ranck (Connie) of White Deer; and his brother William Heckman (Karen) of Muncy. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
